After retirement I began studying History of Art with the Open University and got side tracked into the practice of painting. Here I am ten years on spending my time in Derbyshire and the Lizard peninsula Cornwall.
I do not aim in painting to be representational, today's photographers capture an image much better than I can with a brush, but tend towards abstraction and expression with my starting point always colour.
The stone carvings are mostly small pieces for the garden, my limitation being whether I can pick up the pieces of stone. Click above to view some of my work.
Studio and small meditation garden open by appointment (contact by e mail) where originals, cards and prints are for sale. Additionally Open Garden Days for 2010 are 11/16 July and 01 Aug (e mail for opening times)
