After retirement I began studying the History of Art with the Open University, then got sidetracked into the practice of painting. Here I am ten years on spending my time on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall and in Derbyshire drawing inspiration from the surrounding beauty of sea and land.

Catching the essence is my aim with the starting point usually colour followed by form. Sometimes I succeed in portraying the feeling of a place, sometimes it is a struggle, but whichever there is much experimentation in the garden studio at Waters Edge. Paintings are mainly oil and mixed media in a range of sizes and prices.

Work is available at the Trelowarren Estate Stableyard Gallery near Helston from Easter to October, where I exhibit with the LizardArt co-operative 11.00am to 4.00pm daily.

My studio and small meditation garden in Coverack is open to view and for the sale of original work, prints and cards on the following 2012 dates. Please park in Coverack Car Park, come down to the sea and turn left along the coastal path. Sorry not suitable for wheelchairs or folk with limited mobility.
